Several years back the Coaches and Team Reps from Sleepy Hollow Bath & Racquet and Lee Graham came up with these relays as a way to give our swimmers who do not participate in Relay Carnival - and in many cases the Divisional Meet - a fun event to end their seasons.

Each team may enter 2 relays per event. We will run one heat per event.

2 B 8 under Free (these two events will include 6 and unders as well)

3 G 9/10 Medley

4 B 9/10 Medley

5 G 11/12 Medley

6 B 11/12 Medley

7 G 13 over Medley

8 B 13 over Medley

9 8 under mixed Free (2 boys 2 girls)

10 9/10 Mixed Free

11 11/12 Mixed Free

12 13 over Mixed Free

13 Mixed Age

At the coaches’ discretion and if time permits, additional relay events may be added. Team reps. from each of the two teams will initiate this process.

LG relays will swim in lanes TBD for each event, SHBR swimming in lanes TBD and SHBA swimming in lanes TBD. This means that teams may have up to two relays per event. The number of relay teams will depend on the number of available swimmers that night. We will likely average two relay teams per event.

Who may swim: Any swimmer who did not swim in Relay Carnival and can swim the stroke legally may be entered into an event. The intent is to give all swimmers at least one relay. Some may get more. It’s not about winning; it’s about having fun and getting the chance to swim in a relay. The one exception - you may substitute in a Relay Carnival swimmer if – and only if - you need to round out a relay to give others a chance to swim. Again – this is the exception – not the norm.

All relays will be 25s and the upper age group will be 13 and over. This meet will not be scored; however, we will supply the ribbons and recognize places 1-6.

Warm-ups: Unless there is a weather delay, warm-ups for all teams run from 5:20 – 5:50. Teams will warm-up at the same time.

Coaches, swimmers and family members: the purpose of this meet is to provide a fun, short relay event for our teams. Let’s all show our spirit and support for one another!

Our swimmers, coaches and parents are encouraged to wear their favorite ‘70s, ‘80s or ‘90s rock t-shirt or outfit. Rock on!

We are asking that all swimmers stay until the end of the meet. Unless there are weather issues, the meet should end by 7:30pm.

We need a runner, marshals, and timers for this meet. Runner and timers can be youth for this meet.

Warm ups: 5:20 pm

Meet start time: 6:00 pm

Divisionals is a championship event. There will be two Lee Graham Swimmers as representatives for each event. The swimmers with the top times in the event (in A or B meets) get first choice to swim the event.

Start time: The meet starts at 8:30am, but unlike other meets not everyone needs to be there at the start. We will send out a more detailed timeline later this week.

This meet is split into two sessions to help accommodate the volume of people at the pool and reduce the amount of time for each volunteer assignment.
